Refund Policy
Version dated October 10, 2026. This page is the whole policy; there is no fine print elsewhere. Ask for a refund by emailing [email protected] from your account address or by messaging @NewYorkProxiesBot, and a person handles it.
The basis: time, not data
Every refund is calculated on the time left on the plan at the moment you ask. We never calculate on data used, because data is not metered on our plans and it would make no sense to. If you bought a month and ask to cancel with ten days left, the refund is the value of those ten days at the plan's rate. The hourly test is not refundable once it has started, since it is the cheapest way to try a line and it ends on its own.
Where the money goes
A refund is credited to your account balance first. You can spend it on any plan straight away. If you would rather have it back in your wallet, say so, and we send it to the payment method you used within 24 hours, minus any transfer fee the payment network charges us. For cards and PayPal the fee is usually nothing; for crypto it is the network fee at the time.
The first 24 hours
If you cancel a plan within 24 hours of activation, you get all of it back, no questions. This is meant for the case where the line turns out not to do what you needed. Tell us what went wrong if you can, because it helps us stock the right thing, but it is not a condition.
Downtime we cause
If a line is down because of something on our side, a dead modem, a power problem at one of our sites, a software fault, the time it was down is added to the end of your plan. If the outage is long or you would rather not wait, you can move the plan to another device or carrier from the dashboard at no cost, or ask for a refund on the time left. Carrier-side outages that affect every subscriber in the city are credited the same way once we confirm them.
Renewals you did not want
Plans renew until you stop them. If a plan renewed and you did not want it, tell us within 24 hours of the renewal and we credit the full amount back to your balance, or refund it to your wallet on request. After 24 hours the renewed term is treated as any other plan and refunded on time left.
What is not downtime
Action under the fair-use rule, a slowed or paused line because of bulk transfer, is not downtime and earns no credit. A website that blocks or challenges you is not downtime. A speed lower than you hoped at a particular hour is not downtime, because speed depends on carrier signal at the device. A suspension for non-payment or for abuse is not downtime.
- Credited: our hardware, power or software faults; confirmed carrier outages
- Not credited: fair-use action, third-party blocks, speed variation, suspensions
Chargebacks
Please ask us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback puts the account on hold until it is resolved, which is slower for you than a refund request that we handle within a day. We have never refused a refund that this policy owes.
How to ask
Email [email protected] from the address on the account, or message @NewYorkProxiesBot, and say which plan and whether you want balance or wallet. We confirm the amount and the method, and the balance credit is immediate.
Questions
Is a refund calculated on how much data I used?
No, only on the time left on the plan. Data use never affects the amount.
How fast is a wallet refund?
Within 24 hours of your request, minus any transfer fee the payment network charges.
I forgot to turn auto-renew off. Am I stuck with the month?
Not if you tell us within 24 hours of the renewal. We credit it in full.
