Gopuff Mobile Proxies: NYC Delivery Zones From a Local Phone

Gopuff runs its own micro-fulfilment sites across New York, and what you can order, at what price, depends on the delivery address and the zone it falls in. A consumer brand that sells through Gopuff, a category manager, or an agency verifying a promotion needs to see the New York storefront on a phone the way a customer in the city does. A carrier line in Brooklyn or Queens gives them that view without pretending.

How Gopuff decides what you see

The app asks for a delivery address and maps it to a fulfilment site. Before an address is entered, it uses location and the connection to pick a default city and show a storefront. From a New York carrier address you land on the New York storefront, with the city's assortment, fees and promotions. Gopuff also runs fraud checks on accounts and payments, and a carrier address shared with ordinary customers is what it expects to see from a phone.

Legitimate checks from a New York line

A brand confirming that its products are listed, priced and photographed correctly in New York zones. A category team checking which items show as out of stock in a given zone at a given hour. An agency verifying that a sponsored placement or a promotional banner actually appears for New York customers. A developer testing the app on Verizon and AT&T, since customers order on their phones in buildings with uneven signal. A researcher studying assortment and pricing across neighbourhoods at a reading pace. In each case you enter a delivery address you are entitled to use and read the storefront.

Sticky for accounts, rotate for zone checks

A customer account sits on a sticky line. Zone-by-zone storefront reads, which are logged-out in most cases, can rotate between zones so each read looks like a fresh customer. Keep the pace human; nobody flips through a hundred delivery addresses in a minute, and Gopuff's protections will treat that as what it is.

Time of day matters as much as the zone. Stock and fees move through the evening, so if you are logging availability, note the hour and keep a consistent schedule across days so the comparison means something.

  • Customer accounts: sticky
  • Zone and placement checks: rotate between zones, human pace
  • No order automation, no stacked promo accounts

Delivery zones, prices and promotions by neighbourhood

Gopuff decides what you can order from the delivery address and the fulfilment centre that serves it. In New York that means two shoppers a few miles apart can see different catalogues, different stock and different promotions. Brands selling through Gopuff, their agencies and category analysts want to see what a local shopper in a given zone is offered.

The line supplies the New York phone; the delivery address supplies the zone. Use a test account you own, set a delivery address in the neighbourhood you are studying, and record the products in your category, the prices, the promotions and the out-of-stock items. Change the address to compare zones, keeping each run in the same profile and on the same line.

Keep the samples small and regular, a few zones on fixed days, rather than sweeping the whole city at speed. Do not place orders you do not intend to receive, and do not use the line to stack new-customer promotions across accounts; that is promotion abuse, not research.

For brand teams, the most useful comparison is often between the delivery zones of two fulfilment centres, because that is where the catalogue and the promotions diverge. A handful of addresses chosen to sit in different zones tells you more than many addresses in one. Note the address, the time and the carrier with each sample.

Keep it honest

Gopuff's terms forbid account farming, promotion abuse and automated ordering. Our lines are for seeing the storefront and testing the app as a New York customer. Use your own accounts, verify your own products, and leave the rules alone.

Setting up a Gopuff proxy on New York Proxies

  1. Order a New York line; a day at $6 on 4G covers a zone sweep.
  2. Run the Gopuff app on an Android phone plan or your own phone through VLESS, region United States, Eastern time.
  3. Open the app and confirm it defaults to New York before entering an address.
  4. Enter a delivery address you are entitled to use in the zone you are checking.
  5. Record product placement, price, availability and any banner for that zone.
  6. Rotate the line and repeat for the next zone; keep any customer account on a separate sticky line.

Gopuff proxy questions

Does the line pick the delivery zone?

No. The zone comes from the delivery address you enter. The line makes the session a New York phone session so the storefront, fees and promotions are the local ones.

Can I verify a sponsored placement this way?

Yes. Note the address, zone, time and what rendered. That is what a verification log needs.

Which carrier for app testing?

Whichever your customers use. We stock Verizon first and AT&T second, with T-Mobile available.
